At The MAG
This was a commission
This was my first painting made with lead white and it was a night and day difference from titanium and zinc whites. Extremely nice to work with. I can see why painters fought tooth and nail over its removal as the "standard" white. This also has zinc and titanium white used (the Gamblin "radiant" white, for the overhead lights; as well as a zinc/titanium blend for the placards, done via pin).
