WAYO "Whale" Shirt Design 2026
I also made this one for WAYO's annual fundraiser. It also didn't end up getting picked to be the fundraiser reward shirt but that doesn't mean you shouldn't go donate to help keep WAYO on the air!
WAYO is a local volunteer-run station, they play the broadest variety of music in Rochester, and are a breath of fresh air in the iHeartRadio/Sinclair media landscape. I previously made the hoodie for last year's contest.
Like the Wizards yesterday, this was also done Hallowatch-style at first, Zinc Watercolor/Ink on Black Paper
Unlike yesterday's, I did the tidying in photoshop almost entirely with the pen tool to redraw it, then used aggressive transparency masking to generate the halftone dots.
