There wasn't a ton to work with for parody on this. but, you know what they say, brevity is the soul.

For the 'discontinuity' control, I like to imagine there's an engineer who introduced a way of going from +max to -max via like, a flipping zener diode or something, and the sensitivity for that is controlled via the discontinuity knob. A tangent's cycle is still a cycle right, so it'll still sound like a tone?
