Oil paint over India-Ink Primed Canvas

8in x 24in

Using a shellac-based india ink as a primer was an interesting experiment - the canvas got extremely rigid and well-sized, which then let me use it to also do the background details in india ink. The dry time was rapid enough that I had no issues doing oil paint on top of it.
