Hallowatch 2026 No. 8: The Nun (2018)
This was... Not Good. Who could have guessed.
I guess I'm glad people are still making spooky movies that exist to be a haunted house and some jump scares but it's just not for me, not my thing. Apparently this is The Conjuring-adjacent? I don't know.
Unlike the other movie-blog series i've got going on, I'm not going to waste wordcount on things I didn't like. If you've seen a Saw movie, you have the gist of what this is going to be like.
One thing I will say about this movie is that Gary Dauberman wrote it; he was one of the co-writers on IT (2017) and he directed the 2024 'Salem's Lot, which I thought was honestly the worst of the four 'Salem's Lot adaptations so far. Seeing that he's got a Story By credit for the new Street Fighter movie might be the first thing that's made me trepidatious about the new Street Fighter movie.
Don't waste your time on this.
